Wedge Demo Club
What should one look for in purchasing wedges?
Good day! I believe my next upgrade to my bag will be wedges. It is the only club that I have yet to pay much attention to. With so many brands and models to preview, what would YOU be paying attention to while demoing clubs?

There are certain things you need to consider when buying a wedge, or any club for that matter, some of these things are obvious, others are not.
1) Looks: does the club look good to your eye when you setup, does it look sharp in your bag, and do you feel comfortable with the paint/finish on it?
2) set up: when you set up to the ball, does this club give you the confidence you need to complete the challenge successfully? It can be as little as, the sole is too rounded, thus making this wedge not an option.
3) feel: do you like the way the club feels when you hit it. Is it forgiving enough? Does is have a crisp sound and are you hitting accurate shots with it. MAKE SURE U DEMO B4 U BUY.
4) Forged or Cast? Do you like a buttery feeling, and if you are a good ball striker, do you like your wedges to go closer to the hole, but when you mishit do you want forgiveness. Good ball strikers use forged wedges, average ball strikers used cast ones.
5) Bounce: is the bounce sufficient for the playing conditions you face? Soft sand= less bounce needed, firmer sand = more bounce.
