I don't know what iron to choose because i hit them off a mat.?
I am 16 and a 9 handicap for 18 holes. I am deciding between ap1, ap2, callaway x forged, and victory red split cavity. I play on the golf team and got a lot of feedback from my friends, but i hit them all and i don't really know which one I hit better because i am hitting them off of a mat because i live in Pittsburgh so the weather isn't that well and you cant try irons outside for some reason where i live. I need some help from perferably someone who has one of these models, or someone who has hit them on grass and compared them.

Honestly when you go for that good of clubs it comes down to how well they perform when you hit a poor shot. They all have great carry, spin, even feel, etc.. but if you hit it off of the toe or heel, you need to find which one gives you the best feedback. The mat will only add distance to you're swing, Im 20 with a 4 handicap, and I have "very old" clubs. Never even heard of them, but I hit my 4 iron 220 yards in grass and amost 250 on a mat, im 6'0 160 lbs wet. The only bad thing is, is if im off by the slightest bit on my down swing, it stings my hands and lets me know I hit a bad shot. If I had better clubs the outcome of the shot wouldn't have been so horrible.
After all that I'd go with the ap2 because both ap's try and eliminate the the uncomfortable shots, and gives you better feel. I like the 2's more because they are more of a blade for the more experienced, so realize that as well. Don't believe me look it up. hope this helps
