Game improver irons are a funny breed – we know they'll help our game but many of us just can't bring ourselves to use them because we don't like the way they look. The Mizuno MX-1000 irons are seeking to change that!
Designed with a hollow wholesale golf clubs construction and hot metal steel face, these are as forgiving as they come as well as producing a high launch and powerful flight.
However, Mizuno have packed these benefits into a very reasonably-sized head with a top line that shouldn't put traditional players off and a sole that allows a good level of turf interaction.

Astonishing distances that push the boundaries of the R&A and USGA's performance limitations are achieved by plasma welding a thin, hot, ES230 maraging steel face to a 431 stainless steel body – a technique perfected in Mizuno's MP Fli-Hi utility iron.
HOT METAL Technology about mizuno mx1000 irons
The HOT METAL face is teamed with a hollow construction and internal weighting -encouraging strikes from a wide area of the face to hold their line with minimal distance loss. The hollow construction also allows online golf clubs weight to be engineered deep within the head for a naturally high trajectory – enabling the use of stronger lofts for even greater distance.
Aggressively bevelled lead and trailing edges effectively narrow the MX-1000's substantial soleplate, for clean turf interaction and use from a variety of lies.
This model is designed to conform to the 2010 Condition of Competition rule.
