Iron Graphite Shaft

I recently upgraded my iron set(steel shaft the old ones were graphite)?
i noticed decreased yardage..before i could hit my 7 iron at 165 yards easy now it has gone down to 150, no matter how hard i try, i cant get it to go far like before.help!!!should i go back to my old graphite set?or simply switch the shafts of my new irons (s300) to regular flex iron shafts?
Well.. you've gave us some pretty obvious information that leads me to believe you don't have the swing speed that warrants the use of stiff flexed shafts.
You don't possess the swing speed and tempo to load an S300 shaft properly, so you also don't unload (lack of kick) on your downswing.
